MID SPRING ALMANAC ETC. In North Dakota It was generally said that the 15 of May the grass was growing enough to let the cattle out to graze, and most planting was safe to plant, as a general rule.THAT WOULD BE AROUND THE 25 OF MID SPRING. I remember the chokecheerys and the plums blooming, also the juneberrys, and the bees so heavy around the blossoms the berry patches just hummed. TALK ABOUT THE SWEET SMELLS OF SPRING. The rooster pheasant crowing. You would start to see the young fawns, It was just good to be alive. YOU COULD START SHEDDING ALL THE WINTER CLOTHING, THOSE HEAVY OVERSHOES , It felt at times you could fly.I wish it was that way as you get older???
